Board of GM’s Cruise reviewing regulatory response, know-how

DETROIT (Reuters) – The board of Cruise, the robo-taxi firm managed by Normal Motors, has employed an out of doors regulation agency and know-how consultants within the aftermath of an accident that led it to droop all driverless automobile operations, Cruise stated Friday.

Cruise’s board has employed regulation agency Quinn Emanuel to evaluate Cruise administration’s responses to regulators investigating the Oct. 2 accident, and know-how consultancy Exponent to evaluate Cruise’s know-how. The Cruise board’s actions had been first reported Friday by the New York Instances.

GM, in a press release Friday, stated “we absolutely help the actions that Cruise management is taking to make sure that it’s placing security first and constructing belief and credibility with authorities companions, regulators, and the broader neighborhood. Our dedication to Cruise with the purpose of commercialization stays steadfast.”
