Amazon’s AWS to speculate $15 billion to increase cloud computing in Japan


TOKYO (Reuters) – Amazon Net Providers (AWS) mentioned on Friday it plans to speculate 2.26 trillion yen ($15.24 billion) in Japan by 2027 to increase its cloud computing infrastructure.

The Amazon.com unit is spending to increase amenities within the metropolises of Tokyo and Osaka to fulfill rising buyer demand, it mentioned in an announcement.

That comes on high of 1.51 trillion yen spent from 2011 to 2022 to construct up cloud capability in Japan, AWS mentioned.
